Great place to get away. Family oriented and awesome people. I totally recommend this place to anyone! Our first time experience was one to remember. Thanks to people at the concession who took care of us like family. We will definitely be back!

Until two years ago, I owned property just up the street from Concho Park Marina. I have regretted selling my place probably because I miss the wonderful people at the marina. I miss the beauty of the views. I’m thinking that I’ll be back someday just to visit. Much love to the Marina owners and crew.

Too bad there is limited camping at Lake O H IVIE. This place could be amazing, but it's obvious the owner doesn't care. The pluses- very friendly and helpful staff, water and electricity worked, and there is an easy access dump station. Now the minuses - the bathrooms/showers were disgusting. The men couldn't even shower in theirs due to broken pipes in one and no knobs on the other. You had to wear shoes at all times in there. The women's was a little better, but that's because one of the other campers cleaned it up and supplied soap. There were never paper towels, but the toilet paper was replaced so we know some staff member must have gone in there. The store had very limited supplies - no sugar, flour, milk, coffee creamer. They had bags of chips and candy, some souvenir items, and fishing gear. The dogs that are in the more permanent homes bark all day long and sometimes into the evenings. Never saw a dog in the campground, so I know it wasn't a guest's dog.

I was there for 3 days.. it was really fun, caught some decent catfish, I stayed at Elm Creek tho because the rooms at Concho were booked up, probably cuz of the bass tournament. Make sure and call like a week or 2 before if you plan on staying in there lodges. Everyone is really Friendly definitely recommend it!

1. There is no "lake" at this time. It is more like a narrow stream that winds through a valley. At 17% capacity when I visited in June 2018.

2. There are drive-up campsites with electrical and water hookup, but apparently water had not flowed through the pipes going to my campsite in a very long time. When I opened the water valve, a flood of ants preceded a brown geyser of dirty water. I closed the valve and never opened it again during my overnight visit.

3. There are primitive sites that overlook the "lake," but in the absence of water the view is surreal. It's actually a young forest trying to establish itself.

4. You can get a burger and fries for lunch or bacon and eggs for breakfast at the Concho RV office. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

5. Black ants rule the park. Biting flies and gnats will try to devour your face. Plan accordingly.

6. The Concho RV park has restroom/shower facilities that are free to use. The toilets flush, there is hot AND cold running water, and there was plenty of TP available. I had to hang the mirror on the wall myself.

7. I found only 1 campsite suitable for hanging a hammock.

8. Deer roam the park.

9. There are cabins available.

10. A large section of the park near the boat ramps has been closed for a long time due to low lake levels.
