This was our second stop at this location in 2 weeks. I'm sorry to say that there was an enormous amount of trash is scattered all over the area. It could have just been scattered by all of the buzzards hanging around oh, but the place was still a mess. On the other hand the fishing was fantastic. My 12 year old son caught his first ever big mouth bass weighing in at 3 and 1/2 lb on our second trip my fourteen-year-old caught his first ever big mouth bass weighing in at 4.47 lb. My wife got one and 3.3 lb. A very relaxing day and the fishing was wonderful here at the spillway

Best lake experience in Northeast Texas. We lake hop all over, and this one leaves our boat the least dirty on the bottom....this is important. No goo. The trees that line the shore are majestic. Highly recommend being there for the gorgeous sunsets.

Wish there were more walking trails, or bike trails. And more Marina accommodations with food offerings.

For the beauty, cleanliness, fishing, and water sports....you can't beat it!

Alley Creek campground (a Corps of Engineers campground, which are almost always very nice) is beautiful! After many heavy rains in May the lake was over full and some of the swimming beach was under water. A very lovely place!
