Park is located less than a mile from Lake Lavon boat launch. Water, Sewer, High Speed Broadband Internet, and USPS mailbox included in the lot rent.
This place was our first camping experience. And many more after. The beautiful Park the owners are really nice. I've got goats and miniature horses and things for the grandkids to see. The place is really kept up really clean. They have veteran discounts and treated me and my wife who are both veterans with great respect. Can't wait to come camping there again.
This was our first at River Bend campground.
This place is accommodated primarily for RV’s and not for tents. They do have a nice and clean pool, laundry is in good working condition, kitchen ok site has the basics in case you decide to cook there. Restrooms and showers are clean and spacious and since it’s almost only RV’s, this means showers and restrooms are empty and you don’t have to wait or stay in line for a shower.
The bad thing about this place is the access to the river... there is only one entrance (access) and this part of the river is not very nice. There is no docks along the river or even stairs like other campgrounds. If you have a kayak, this is not the right place for you.
Place is quiet but if you have kids, this place is kinda dangerous since there is a high drop from the campground to the river all along.
Place is gated and you get a password once you arrive. Owners live on site and drive a golf car everyday all day all around.. this means it might be annoying at some point since they don’t let you stay at your peace. They asked us to pick up our trash the second day and keep our site clean (some other campgrounds let us stay at our peace as long as we clean everything before we check out)
Oh and one more thing! They do not have grills on site and no trash cans on each site. You have to take your trash to the dumpster everyday.
Nice, clean, and beautiful natural setting. There is access to the San Marcos River. They have a refreshing pool with lounge chairs.
We had an electrical issue, and the owners came to our site, supplied us with their surge protector, and fully assisted us with the issue. Then, going way above and beyond, she brought homegrown tomatoes, squash, and peppers to us. Wow, we were very impressed!

The park manager is a great young man named David and the son-in law of the new owner. He is very helpful and polite. The park having been recently acquired is under lots of renovation work. The previous RV Store and office is being renovated. The gravel roads and pads that exist need some major work. They need asphalt ASAP over the already compacted gravel. Dust from campground speeders is abundant - so plan to clean your interior constantly. Lots of grass stickers that will make your dog have bad walk days. Its Texas though and the only way to remove stickers is drag a carpet behind a lawn mover or lots of water. WIFI is non-existent - we had to use our booster to get the Texas Best Truck Station Internet for use. Power is questionable. Lots of old breakers and abandoned telephone equipment at pedestals. Trees need limbs cleared to allow campers to travel the roads and park without incident. Lots of permanent tenants making space limited. Lots of stored items needing cleaned up. Abandoned items need removed. Road signs showing traffic flow required. Pool was nice. Laundry and Restrooms clean. The river appears stagnant and not suitable yet for tubing or hanging out at. Water pressure great. Sewer functions well. Nearby horses are cool to watch. A great park right now for one or two night stops. Owner needs employees for sure to help them achieve their dream of a nice park. Again it is being worked and will improve. We camped at Patriot RV Parks - Luling in a Fifth Wheel.
