It's a quiet and relaxing place to go fishing, canoeing and hiking. And if you like camping they have great spots

We have been visiting State Parks to see which we like better and I feel Purtis Creek is probably one of our top choices. Talk about well maintained areas. Grass is well cut and it looks so clean. Staff is super friendly too. The camp sites are just beautiful. The sites near the lake are wonderful even though there aren’t too many, but still great. The fishing docks are so spacious and just a great fishing spot. Beautiful scenery. Love the convenience of having the fish cleaning station near the fishing dock

This park may be small but it is big on relaxing and enjoying nature. The campsites are a little close together but we weren't too bothered by neighbors. We saw a beaver, armadillos, raccoons, deer and tons of dragon flies. Caught a couple of fish but nothing to write home about. The sites we had were very unlevel. Other than that, they were nice and spacious sites. Tables are not covered. There are not many trails and they are pretty easy without much elevation change. They do have a park store with some souvenirs. All of the park employees were super nice and informative. There are 2 fishing piers pretty close together. 1 is lighted and the other is not. There is a lighted cleaning station nearby. There is also a large day use area for swimming, picnics and launching vessels. This is a no wake lake which also adds to the peacefulness. The night sky was beautiful although there is some light pollution. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This park is great, camped at site 22. Which was on the lake, beautiful view of the lake. Fishing dock and pier within walking distance. Clean bathrooms and showers, and lots of hiking trails. Very clean and nice day use area with playground, fishing pier and boat ramp. Also dog friendly, no stickers or goat heads.

Very nice and tidy State Park. Lake is so easily accessible and beautiful. Loved doing bbq over there.

It's popular for fishing. Playground is good and safe for kids. Restrooms are clean and well equipped.

Kayak is available with self rental system. Picnic area is well organized and clean.
