Great place, Great location. Owners are wonderful people.
Our stayed a week at this park and had a great time! The current owners bought the park about 9 months ago and and have made many improvements! The park has a clean bath house with new washers and dryers,. The RV sspots are spacious and have bbq pits and fire pits and each has an outside light. Pets are welcome and there is room to walk them. The park is in the country and peaceful but close to town and there are good restaurants within minutes of the park. The owners we very friendly and accommodating. Very glad we discovered this little gem!
I loved this place the first week. Owners were nice and the park is quiet.
However, I went out of town for 3 days and came back. The minute I get back, JR accuses my kids of playing in his laundry room and breaking a toilet roll off the wall. My kids only went in to shower with my supervision and checking in, but we hadn't been there for 3 days! Then, that same night, Wanda comes UP TO MY PATIO to complain about my dogs, who had been outside 15 minutes while I was unpacking. She said they were too loud for my neighbor who slept during the day. Even though they weren't barking until her and jr parked next door, near my patio, to talk to the neighbor. The neighbor that sleeps during the day wasn't even home. I had already talked to those neighbors and they never complained to me. I told Wanda my dogs are always quiet and she said she knew. But still came up SUPER rude telling me , "this isn't going to work". Then she waves at me days later like she wasn't just rude and they hadn't been avoiding me every since.
We looked at the toilet paper rack, it is one that you just pop of the wall, and it wasn't even fixed.
Would not recommend unless you are good with being buddies with the owners and don't have kids or pets. I would have talked to them, but they are avoiding me, so hopefully this review will get their attention.
This RV park is very basic. There are full hook ups, trash and a laundry room. The owner was very accommodating and gave us great ideas of things to do in the area. There are 20 or so sights (I’m not sure exactly) and many of them appear to be either permanent residents or seasonal. This place allows dogs, but does not have a dog park. Just please pick up after your pet. It was very peaceful and quiet, only the occasional boat passing by on the river across the street. There is a restaurant adjacent to the park that serves good food. It is only open for dinner and only open Friday thru Sunday. Caddo Lake is the draw here, and you can only explore it via the State Park, National Wildlife Refuge or by boat. The moss covered cypress forests and mysterious bayou atmosphere was not to be missed. Jus amazing! We loved it.
Quiet location with beautiful scenery and friendly roosters wandering the campgrounds. Walking distance to restaurant and bayou.
