Great location for a trail run with men from F3Nation.com, home of the men's FREE peer led bootcamp with locations across the globe. Skip the gym and find a location on our website.

Table Rock Mountain offers amazing views of the surrounding mountains. The trail is well maintained and fairly obvious. It is only about 0.7 miles from the parking lot to the summit. The top has multiple rock formations as well as an old building foundation which serves nicely as a place to sit and eat while enjoying the views. There are plants at the top, but there is little to no shade and no water source so be prepared. The campgrounds next to the parking lot are large and provide picnic tables, trash disposal, and basic bathrooms (although as of june 2020 trash and bathrooms are close due to Covid). The parking lot is large for a campground and is paved, however the road leading to the parking lot is very rough.

Ok...I'm not in the best shape but I did this hike! It was more challenging than sitting on my couch and definitely a lot more rewarding!!!!

The Day was perfect on the Chimneys. If you love sunsets this is the place for you to take your camera. Lots of places to sit and relax, meditate. Campsites availible first come first choice.

Please Remember Leave No Trace when Camping.

Very well maintained area and lots of visitors.

Recommend Children a No on the Chimneys a Great Fall Risk.

We took Spence Ridge Trail into the park. Before I get to the park let me say that this was a fun trail with lots of rock scrambling and root stair stepping. The views along this trail of the Gorge are amazing.

Now Table Rock puts you up there you'll have plenty of photos to take. Capture it all. Remotely it's one of the higher spots around so that "top of the world" feeling is unignorable. You can work each side to see any direction you want. We took pictures of Grandfather Mountain, Mt. Michelle and the Black Mountains, the Gorge and countless other hills I want to explore.

Now for the Chimneys. Opposite of Table Rock from the parking lot is the trail to the Chimneys of Linville Gorge. EPIC!!! I love the Chimneys. So cool. It's like a forest of rock columns that you go through, around, and over. A rock playground with breathtaking views. When you are up on top of some of the higher ones you get the most perfect 360 degree perspective. If you are able bodied then you owe it to yourself to see this. Made me want to be a Chimney sweep 🤣
