Swiftwater RV Park is a privately held campground on the banks of the Salmon River. We are only 17 miles from Hells Canyon National Recreation Area and welcome big rigs to vintage trailers and tent camping.
We are veteran-owned and operated and live onsite to offer terrific customer service and the cleanliness you deserve in an RV park. Each campsite offers 20/30 or 50 amp service, including water and WiFi, and use of our ultra-clean restrooms & showers. From beautiful back-in sites facing the Salmon River to nice-sized pull-thrus (no need to un-hook your big-rig) – or for those camping in a tent – you’ll discover that Swiftwater is a true gem – whether you are looking to spend the night, a week, or a month.
From jct US 95 (mile marker 222.2) and Hammer Creek Rec Area, exit: Go 1 mi W on Hammer Creek Rec. Area Rd.
Pam and her husband run an awesome little RV park right on the Salmon River. As I write this I'm sitting under a vented Gazebo with a beautiful firepit watching the Salmon River flow. Very clean bathrooms, shower and Laundry room. We're traveling across the United States on bicycles, sleeping in a tent and they have been very accommodating. They have a covered pavilion with several picnic tables and a gas grill. Great setting, relaxing and an awesome experience.
We hit the jackpot in Western Idaho with Swiftwater RV Park. The park, and our site, back right up to the Salmon River. There is a path to a nice beach where you can bring a chair or lounge and cool off in the river. We are 43’ and could back right up with the view out our window but had to park our truck in the overflow which was no big deal. They have showers/ laundry etc. super nice surprise is the covered grilling area with picnic tables and the covered fire pit gazebo. The owners and camp hosts are all amazing. Water and electric hookups with a dump station (again, right on the river so I’m sure regulations don’t allow sewer that close to the river). We were nicely shaded. Side to side the spots are a bit close together but our space out the back made up for that. Again, highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful place in Western Idaho.
We loved Swiftwater RV Park. Now, with that said, here are some items to consider. The park is small, but quaint! The sites are gravel, but very level. It is peaceful and the summer camp hosts were amazing!
