We have stored our camper and high dollar bass boat on our site for well over a year now. The campground host and owner keeps a very watchful eye over his facility and his customer's belongings. I have had zero issues with my boat, camper, and contents of either. Mike, the owner is very knowledgeable of the local fishing and hunting success...and very eager to keep me informed. The amenities are quite nice and always clean... and offered at a reasonable price as well. We frequent his campground almost every weekend throughout early spring to late fall making it our home away from home... just two minutes from a nice boat ramp on the lake. Fishing, and also hunting for deer, turkey, and wild hog is excellent nearby. I highly recommend this campground!
Amazing place! Case and Sherri are awesome people! They are kind and always looking out for their residents! We checked into a cabin at about 11pm and Case met us and took us to our beautiful cabin! We were originally going to stay there for a week, but Case worked with us and we ended up staying the whole month for a very good price ! The campground is always quiet and peaceful! Case keeps the bathroom/shower house impeccably clean at all times! We walked the woods behind the campground and made it to the lake which was beautiful also. Case even made his service road accessable for our stroller to make it down to the lake! The cabin was very clean and spacious! All amenities included! Heat and air conditioning! We recommend this place 100% and we will most definitely be back!
We stayed just 2 nights but loved the place! We were greeted as soon as we pulled in by the owner and he was as friendly as could be! He came by a couple times to make sure everything was good and mentioned several times if we needed anything to holler! The campground is very clean! The lake is within walking distance down a trail from the park! Richard B Russell state park is 7 miles from the campground and the golf course in the park is an awesome course! Would recommend this RV park to anyone!
We stayed for a few nights in 2019 and again in 2020. It’s February of 2022 and I’m just now remembering to leave a review… outstanding little park with beautiful views of the sunset each evening. Extremely cool owners who really try to give people a good experience. It’s just a great campground (really) close to Lake Russell. Only reason we haven’t been back recently is because we bought land nearby. Have referred dozens of people since who have loved staying at Sunset Ridge Campground.
Came for a long term project in the area. It is now my vacation spot full time. Mike and his wife are straight shooters, and make sure good folks are happy, the not so good don't last long. Quiet, clean, very well maintained. Minutes from a boat ramp to Lake Russell, for LM Bass, Crappie, Spotted Bass, Catfish and Stripers.
