For the ultimate get-away-from-it-all experience, try Hester's Ferry Campground on Clark Hill - J. Strom Thurmond Lake. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city by relaxing in this quiet community, visit the town just a few miles away - and just sit back and enjoy in the 26 shaded campsites on the lake. Located on Fishing Creek, where it joins Thurmond Lake, this is known to be some of the best fishing on the lake. All the sites in Hester's Ferry are on the water. Sites 1-16 are equipped with water and electrical hook-ups (30-amp and a few 50-amp). A separate loop has 10 primitive sites.

From Lincolnton, GA... go 12 miles north on HWY 79. Turn east onto Graball Rd; Continue on Graball Rd for 4.7 miles continue to follow the signs to the park.

Here to bring in new year. Large sites and very quite this time of years. Bathrooms extremely clean
2nd Camping trip in our New RV. Love this campground. Sites are spaced far apart. Campground is small, so not hundreds of sites. Shady sites with access to the Lake. Some sites have better access, but all are good. Camp Host offer lots of extras like ice, soda, snacks, firewood, even ice cream. Will for sure camp here again.
Great campground, easy access to the lake.. kids loved this place. This is one of my favorite campgrounds now! Highly recommend this place. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Hosts at this location are very nice and caring too.
A beloved hidden gem! This is by far our most favorite place to come and relax on the lake, and we come as often as we can. Trey and his wife Amber take such amazing care of the campground. What I love the most is that the campground is small, and the sites are spaced far apart and are nicely shaded. Most all the sites have good water access. The restrooms/shower house is always extremely clean and stocked. There is also a boat dock for fishing and a boat ramp. We can easily launch our 24' pontoon without issues. Looking forward to many more camping trips and memories made at Hester's Ferry!
