Awesome resort! The staff are very nice. The outdoor pool is clean and warm and the indoor pool is heated for year round use. Went hiking and had a blast! Very family friendly atmosphere, they really make you feel at home.
Love this resort! Even though I live in Oregon, it's easier and closer than the ones in this state. The facilities are outstanding, nice big pool amazing 4th hat they have one inside AND outside!) the hot tub is small compared to others I've been in, but OK. Lots of camping spots and RV parking. And great staff to top it off. Highly recommended!
I've been wanting to go to Sun Meadow Resort for many years. For whatever reason my travels haven't taken me close enough to the Resort for a visit. Finally the time had arrived and not only was I going to be able to stop for the afternoon, I was actually going to be able to spend the night !! I travel everywhere with my little old dog, she's old 12 yrs, some Resorts that I have been to in the past just aren't that welcoming to pets. They might say that they are pet friendly but they have enough rules and restrictions to make it hard having your pet there. Not so at Sun Meadow Resort. It's common sense and be a respectable pet owner, that's how they made me feel. Respect is really the overwhelming rule of a nudist/ naturist. Respect for your fellow man/ woman, respect of self, respect for your environment. At Sun Meadow Resort I was instantly greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff member. Every resort has a few special rules or requests pertinent to their specific location, and we were given a tour of the property and the nuances of the Resort explained to us. At the conclusion of our tour, we were instantly comfortable with our surroundings. We rented a cabin for the night. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything one could want. We got settled in and went for a walk on some of the properties trails. This is a very beautiful Resort. We then made use of the hot tub and pool. There were evening activities and good food from the kitchen. One can get on the list for any meal. Wonderfully created items right there on site from thier kitchen. My companion was impressed by the organic options that were available. The facilities have everything that one could hope for. As with any resort the patrons are a large part of the overall experience. I'm here to tell you that the patrons visiting while I was there were very enjoyable to be around. I was travelling with my companion who has never experienced the freedom of time spent clothes free with like minded individuals. Thank you to all, for she very much enjoyed her experience !! The pricing for our visit was very reasonable. The cabin was the same price as a hotel room in Spokane. It's a short drive from Spokane, very good road and picturesque. Take the time to make the stop, refresh your soul, rejuvenate your body, meet some great people, and go barefoot all over !!!
The great thing about Sun Meadows is that there weren't that many mosquitos, so you could enjoy going au natural.
I enjoyed the walking trails and the indoor pool. You're free to walk around in the nude or wear clothes, especially on chilly mornings. 😋
I couldn't have asked for a better place than Sun Meadow for my first clothes-free vacation. I had been planning this trip for quite a while, but I was a little nervous since I had never been to a nude resort before. When I arrived though, I was given a full tour both inside and out and was made to feel welcome. The resort has on-site camping and places for tents and RV's, but I chose to stay in one of their rooms upstairs. The rooms aren't too different from a hotel room, but it feels a little more like home. It was very clean and comfortable with a view that overlooked a garden area to the west. The room includes a bathroom with shower and sink, and towels are provided.
I was looking for some downtime for my vacation, so I was mostly interested in hiking, swimming, and soaking up some sun out by the pool. Sun Meadow is surrounded by miles of hiking trails. They're easy to walk, so you don't need heavy hiking boots or anything like that. I just wore some basic Adidas athletic shoes and they worked perfect. Some parts of the trail pass under a canopy of trees and bushes, while other parts of the trail are in more open meadows. There's a few short hills to climb, but they're not steep. Try going for a hike early in the morning just after sunrise, its very picturesque. In all, one loop around the trail network took me about 35 minutes.
The swimming pools are nice. The indoor pool is about 4 feet deep and is heated to a very comfortable temperature. Indoor showers and a sauna are located adjacent to the pool. Outside, you'll find a good size hot tub, and then beyond the patio is the outdoor U-shaped pool. The depth on this one ranges from zero entry to about 6 feet. The pool deck is surrounded with lounge chairs for relaxing and tanning, as well as some covered areas if you prefer to stay in the shade. Showers are located next to the pool, as are restrooms. They also have volleyball and pickleball courts, shuffleboard, horseshoes, etc.
Inside, SM has a refrigerator/freezer for guest to store meals or drinks. If you choose to bring a cooler, they sell bagged ice for a couple dollars. They also have an assortment of soft drinks and energy drinks, as well as a variety of ice cream desserts. Guests can sign up for meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, however a microwave is available if you want to heat up your own meals. They also have a propane BBQ on the patio if you want to grill up some burgers. The lobby on the main floor includes a dining area, seating for watching TV on a front projection screen, a stage for live music, and a fireplace. There's also a library located just off the lobby that includes thousands of titles. Upstairs on one side of the building you'll find a workout room that overlooks the indoor pool. On the other side of the building upstairs are the guest rooms and a small common area with seating and a TV. Wi-Fi is available inside the lodge.
The hospitality was wonderful, and everyone was very friendly. When I went to check out, they said they thought I had left early because they never saw me, but its only because I spent most of my time either hiking, swimming or sunbathing. Even though I was only there for a few days, it felt like a few weeks just because it was so relaxing. Visiting a nude resort is something everyone should try at least once in their life! You have no idea how much more enjoyable a vacation becomes when you don't have to deal with clothes or a bunch of luggage. Its like night and day when compared to a more traditional 'textile' vacation. Lastly, I have a couple of body piercings. I wasn't sure how they would be perceived or if they would offend anyone, but other than the 'how much did they hurt' questions, having piercings was never an issue. That was very much appreciated.
Thanks to the owners and the volunteers for making my first nude vacation experience so enjoyable! Already looking forward to returning next summer. I attached a few pics I took while exploring the hiking trails.
