The perfect camping getaway. We are 1 mile away from public lake access Turner Bay and just 3 miles away from public boat launch and beach Carlin Bay. Bring your camping gear and enjoy the beauty of the forest. All the water on site comes from natural mountain spring.
We are at the corner of Burma Rd and S Carlin Bay rd. When you turn onto S Carlin Bay rd from Burma rd we are the first gates on your left hand side.
The property and host itself were super nice. The downsides we ran into was a lot of geese and chicken waste that with tent camping seemed to go everywhere, along with the geese being very loud and waking us up pretty early in the morning. The bathrooms started out ok but after a couple days we’re almost unbearable to use because of the smell. Overall an OK experience but not sure if we will be back.
Fantastic place they've put a lot of work into this. Reserve it for camping or any venue you can think of. They even have showers,
The host was very welcoming, and we were lucky to find a spot! The tent side was a little rocky, but it's was a smaller site compared to the others. It does have some on-site toilets, but they did have a strong smell, but some it to be expected with outdoor toilets! The property was very beautiful and well maintained. It's a very outdoor feel I would recommend!
Hidden gem campground! Lovely space, nice facilities, creek and swimming hole to relax in all day, free range chickens, huge tree swing. Right down the road from Idaho City (recommend eating at Trudy’s). Gayle is a LOVELY host. Must stay. We loved it.
Perfect quiet little place right off the main road. The only thing you hear is the creek!Excellent place to just escape from everything.
