The views are spectacular. The museum wasn't open (too early) when we stopped, but from peeking in the windows I want to come back and learn about the history of the area. No play ground, but there is a picnic area and a pet area. Restrooms were open.
The stop came highly recommended from an RV park owner in Wilbur. I'm so glad I stopped just reading about the Dry Falls and seeing it from a Lookout Point was well worth the stop. I wrote on to Leavenworth and Beyond and the scenery was breathtaking. There were desert lake Canyons and as you moved on the water became more prominent the vegetation more green and Lush and smaller campgrounds turned into larger towns and cities. Loved it!
This is a really cool State Park. I would love to come back again and bring my kayak and maybe even do some camping. My friend and I did some exploring but there is so much to explore when I return.
Above Dry Falls in a Lookout and a museum so don't forget to check those out also.
Visited on a weekday in November and basically had the place to ourselves. Looks like it gets busy in the summer. Lots of cabins and RV sites. No dispersed camping. Very interesting to view from the observation area on the highway. If you have a Forester or better you can make it down any of the roads within the park.
