From town: Go 4-1/2 mi S on Hwy 129.
The bathrooms and campground were exceptionally clean, the views from the hikes were awesome, all of the staff that we encountered were friendly and great. The kids had a blast staying in the teepee!
Bonus- we saw a cougar at the top of Puffer Butte!
Beautiful. Has clean restrooms, nice shorter trails of varying difficulty. It is mostly easy to moderate grade 1-3 miles. Awesome snake river plateau views. They have tent sites, rv sites, teepee and cabins available (just a couple). Traffic low to moderate at most.
The Fields Spring State Park was very nice. There were plenty of picnic tables and available campgrounds. Additionally, there were several nice restrooms/showers available. Finally, the cabin rented by our family was spacious and comfortable for visiting as well as sleeping in the evening.
What a hidden gem! The camp hosts are phenomenal! They brought us ice and firewood to our site, very clean, very secluded. We had huckleberries growing next to the tipi! Water within 20 miles in 2 different directions. I will be back. Showers were nice!
