Alderwood is a cute RV park in a quiet part of town. Everyone was nice and friendly for the 3 months I was here. I would have given this place 5 stars, but I had some issues with the space. My only complaint, which is a common complaint you'll see in other reviews, is how small the spaces are. My slide outs barely fit and I always had to put them in to empty my tanks or get anything out of my storage compartments! I also wasn't able to put my awning out, which sucked, but not a huge deal. The other part of the small spaces I wasn't a fan of is how close your neighbors are and the noise level because of this. Now, some spaces had enough room for slide outs and awnings, so I guess it just depends on which space you get. Laundry is also cheap here ($2 wash/$2dry)compared to other places in Spokane that were ridiculously expensive. Rent was cheaper than most places around the area too. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here but the spaces were very tight!
The pool is indoor but locked down and apparently they're waiting for a certificate or something. Price hike coming for monthly in August 2023 to $800/month. The sites are tiny as in narrow. It took some real work to make my 43' RV fit. They have on-site propane but you're paying for the service as well. There's an airfield for small planes behind the park so if you don't like listening to planes taking off and landing, this isn't the place for you. It's pretty but there's been a rough sewer smell near the dog park that covers the front half of the park. Playground really needs some work. All in all, not going to be worth the price before too long.
5/12/23 smell at the front of the park has dissipated but no one has bothered to change out the dog park trash in a while so expect that to be a problem. Pool is still closed.
6/15/23 The pool had finally opened but it is only open during office hours. Manager sounds like she's trying to get that sorted for longer hours so we'll see.
My husband and I have been staying here for 2 months, and it's been great. They have a gated dog area which is perfect for our 2 dogs to do their thing and play. There is a grocery store close by and 2 minutes walk to a bar to get a drink. Its a quite place.
I can hear train horn sometimes, but it's not even loud and doesn't bother us at all. The front desk, Megan, is amazing and I really recommend this place.
Wonderful office staff! The recreation room was spotless- with a pool table, large hightop tables, board games, puzzles, television, sofa and chair. The pool is inside and looks out to the large patio and playground area. The spots are small and they don’t allow outdoor fences for dogs, but they are located in a great area that has a newly developed shopping center witching waking distance.
We were weekend visitors and were less than impressed. This was a clean park and seemed well maintained. The bathrooms were clean and nice. That being said, we paid extra to camp there because they offered a pool, a rec room ect. They FAIL to mention that these services are only available during staffed hours so my Friday to Monday stay they were not open! We would have saved money and went elsewhere if we would have known. The other reason for the low rating is the amount of light in the park. While I appreciate some lighting for safety, the lights for each site shine right into the camper windows. We had to stuff the windows to be able to put our kids to sleep. The short term stay sights are also next to the storage units and the light for the maintenance shed (said staff only on it) shined directly into the other side of the camper.
It was not an ideal weekend campground.
