About Campground

Woods Ferry Recreation Area, in western Chester County, lies within a beautiful wooded floodplain surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Campers and day-users can choose from a variety of activities: picnicking, fishing, canoeing, or horseback riding. Its location on the Broad River makes fishing and boating easily accessible. Directions

From Hwy. 72 and Leeds Rd., County 12-25, drive north 1.8 miles. Turn left, at intersection of Leeds Rd., County 12-25, and County Rd. 49 and drive 0.1 miles. Cross over railroad tracks and drive 3.4 miles north to Park Rd., County 12-574. Turn left onto Park Rd., County 12-574, and drive 3.6 miles to the end of the paved road. From Hwy. 9 and County 49, drive south 5.6 miles.Turn right at Park Rd., County 12-574, and drive 3.6 miles to the end of the paved road.

It's a long way to the auto parts store...but otherwise it is a nice spot. Well spaced large campsites, some with corrals for your horses. Wooded hilly, out door showers, indoor toilets..if we get back this way we will definitely stay again... $7.00 per night...half off with Passport America, America the Beautiful etc.. $3.50 a night is very affordable!!

NO DUMP STATION BUT does have Drinking water.

Awesome trail ride this morning. Love the winding trails & the ups & downs. Amazing how it has changed tho. Never had the pipes in the ground for the water to run through when I would go many years ago. Can't wait to go back & ride through again!!!
