This barrier island is accessible only by boat. Bring your tent and lantern for your stay. No running water, no electricity. The only inhabitants here are the wild Osprey, Heron, Egrets, Goats, Turtles, Mallards, and an abundance of other birds and animals always around the island. Jon boat is included in this primitive camping experience. Tent rentals available. Washrooms and showers included.

Directions

107 Cypress Shores Rd Eutawville, SC 29048

If you are arriving by car, we are conveniently located directly off of Interstate 95. Take the Santee Exit from I-95 (exit 98). The resort is just six miles from Santee. Follow Highway Six to Old Moncks Corner Road, take a left and follow the blacktop to the marina.

If you are traveling by boat, a 6.5 diversion canal joins Lakes Marion and Moultrie. On the southeastern side of Lake Moultrie there is a lock system that allows access to the Cooper River all the way to Charleston. What most people don't know is that the Santee Cooper Lake System is accessible from the Inter-Coastal Waterway and was partially created to encourage inland navigation from Columbia to Charleston. From the point the Santee River feeds into Lake Marion, to the Pinopolis dam, there is a one hundred twenty two mile system of marked waterways through which boats can navigate almost halfway through the state.

Do not buy a pontoon from this man! My family was buying a boat from him an they had it nearly paid off an this man took it back with all the money my family put into this pontoon to have it run somewhat decent! The boat my family was buying he was charging 2× what it was worth! We were told later on that that was his specialty to let you think you gonna pay it off then take it back! Please think an examine anything before you buy it from him!

The owner is dangerous. Do not stay here. He refuses to keep his dogs on a leash and one of them just bit a baby. There's an 85 year old woman living there on disability with no air conditioning. Someone is going to get hurt or much worse.

Myself, along with my Husband, have been going to Lakeside for well over a year now. We both enjoy the serenity and peacefulness. Wether you require residency, or you're just vacationing at Lakeside, it's definitely a great place to do either. And last but not least, if you request to stay in "any" of their cabins, it will more than surprise you because all of them are breath taking

Launch your boat and maybe rent a cabin. That's about all they have. No more tackle shop or restaurant. It's much different from when it was known as Cypress Shores.
