Love this park, love the view.

Only one complaint, on campground or loop 1 there are WAY TOO MANY SITES you actually can hear your neighbor conversation, kind of tight to park on your site. So next time we will avoid loop 1

Rented Pavilion 1 on a Sunday. Nice raised view of the lake with a short walk to the water. Bathrooms were so convenient and clean. Plenty of tables and access points to the pavilion. Playground and volleyball courts very close. Fans would have been nice to have to move the air around.

Wonderful state park. We had an amazing experience here. If you are ever visiting Westminster, SC, I highly recommend you check out this park. First, we walked around a small peninsula - only a peninsula because of the low lake levels currently. I kid you not, it looked like Mars. It was one of the most amazing and wonderful walks I have ever been on and I mean it. After that, we drove to Persimmon Beach - you must walk a very small way to get there, though. There is nobody at Persimmon Beach usually. The water is a perfect temperature and there's even a little wooden hut. Swimming there was a good choice! Maps are available and you can rent a pavilion which is cool. Clay is everywhere here. The shores are not sand (usually), but clay.
