Went here for a retreat and the scenery never disappoints! Went out on the kayak early early and it was just so peaceful. The tranquility was out of this world! BUT… I wish I could say the same about the room. The tub kept clogging and filling up. While showering all that dirty water was at ankle level. The AC unit was set to the lowest setting with the highest speed and i ended up just cracking the door open throughout the night because it never got cool. The room smelled a bit moldy and there were long hairs on the bathroom floor. Not really the cleanliness. But still had a great time.

We had a very nice campsite on the lake. Hiked and mostly relaxed because of the heat. A bad storm caused us to leave a few days early. The park has a beautiful golf course, several hiking trails, swimming pool, playground, cabins, restaurant and more. Lake is big and beautiful.

Stayed for the weekend at the blue lodges on the property. It looked like the rooms were recently renovated to a more modern feel. It was very comfortable. The room had a bit of a chemical smell which I was led to believe was from the cleaning products. We helped reduce this by lighting a candle. The Internet is rather slow here and it looks like that's how the TV service is provided. We ran into some technical troubles with the TV but that wasn't a big concern given that we weren't there to stay and watch TV. Beautiful park and friendly staff. Plenty of amenities. Pool, playground, Cornhole, community grill, putting green, and more.

My wife and I also explored the Lakeview loop on our bikes. There were 4 trees down. Needs some maintenance.

You're welcome future hikers.. I cleared all the spider webs with my face and body. 🤣😦

Beautiful views! We hooked up our RV to 30A source and we’re able to start the AC compressor. Sites are somewhat level. We stayed on the main road and not the waters edge sites because the size and level of the sites were more for our needs. Clean facilities. Access to the lake with canoe at the turn around. Would definitely come back. Golfing was inexpensive and lots of other activities available. Would be a great place for family reunion or group get together.
