Stellar Views and Fresh Waters - New York City has never looked better!
The campground is located at (around) Skyline Drive In Movie theater, a unique drive-in cinema experience, at 1 Oak Street in trendy yet relaxed Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Our location is situated on the East River and boasts killer views of the Manhattan Skyline any time of day!
The space is a massive open concrete surface lot on the East River.
The lot is a private property and is monitored by the 24/7 security in the adjacent building.
The subway is 4 blocks away (G Train, Greenpoint Ave stop) which will take you to the city in under 30 minutes.
Greenpoint Ferry stop is a few blocks away which will take you to midtown Manhattan in no time!
Please note, you might benefit from using a trucker app while getting here since in some areas of Brooklyn you can't drive an RV.
The idea of an RV camp in Brooklyn sounded unusual at first, but I'm so glad we did it! Unbeatable views, security onsite at all hours in a private lot, so we felt safe. Close proximity to everything you need to have a great NYC experience. The convenience of having a full hookup also was great. Then for the icing on the cake: free access to their outdoor movie theater as we watched the sunset. Couldn't have been a more seamless and enjoyable experience.
this was a great experience! never thought of camping in nyc but so glad we did. the campsite was very clean and the bathrooms were great. we especially loved the campus manager mr denis! he was incredibly kind and helpful and even showed us around the campground. the view was incredible and the included drive-in movie was a lovely touch. amazing experience and would come back again!
GPS made it hard to find the campground. Spots are back in on a parking lot. Dennis was very pleasant The view of NYC is spectacular. Right on the East River.. walking distance to everything on Manhattan Blvd.
This place was better than I expected, the parking was relatively leveled and the location was close to the local eateries, bars, transportation and parks. It had an amazing view of skyline especially during sunsets and sunrises. The camp host Dennis was very kind, helpful, and took time to visit with each of his guests. If you needed something he was ready to help. Overall great experience!
Is a great location for a NY visit and the view is spectacular. The amenities are excellent except for the 4am wake up crane being delivered and the new building being built adjacent to the park.
They movie night is coming up, and tonight they are having a big event motorcycle, outlander, car exhibit.
