This place looks the same as ever from my childhood I remember being in Troy Oregon for Easter’s and Family Reunions. If you like adventure with the old west feel, and you can handle the luxury of roughing it this is the best place. Bring cash, no cards accepted here.
It's just a place to crash at night. Not really kept up that well. But there was a shower with hot water, a modern toilet that worked and coffee maker in the hallway. Upstairs there are three rooms that all share the bathroom. The sink is sort of in the hall and door to shower and door to toilet are both private. It worked. The bed I slept in is old. Needs replacement. Springs are pretty toast. That is my only complaint. It must be at least 15 years old estimated. Falls down on one side. Otherwise it's old and better than sleeping outside in the cold. Pic was from the river down the way.
There truly is nothing as much fun as 4th of July in Troy, OR! In addition to the fishing, swimming, rafting, sunbathing, tent and RV camping etc that's always available in Troy, there was face painting, volleyball nets, horseshoes, Cornhole, vendor booths, live music and street dancing every night and silent and live auctions. There was amazing food both in the store and at the outside booths, plus a beer garden. The fireworks show was absolutely amazing! Everyone said it was the best fireworks show they'd ever seen and I agree wholeheartedly. People were decked out in patriotic clothes, dogs and kids both young and old were laughing and playing and there were smiles for miles. Thanks to everybody who made this 4th of July the BEST, especially Doug and Diana who always go above and beyond to make staying at Troy a memorable experience.
We had lunch. It’s quiet and quaint. We were site seeing. The rivers look great for fishing. Lots of fishermen were fishing. Beautiful valley with great views. We saw an eagle too. The camp sites are right on the river.
