About Campground

Forest Haven is a secluded, loft-style chalet cabin nestled in the woods, with everything you need for your WV getaway.

The highlights:

- Relax in the outdoor hot tub!

- Grill on the huge deck

- Bask in the sunshine in front of the massive east-facing windows

- Stream movies or take video calls on the fastest WiFi you can get in the mountains (100+ Mbps)

- Drive 30 minutes to Winchester for great shops, restaurants, breweries, and wineries!

The Space:

Our loft-style, chalet cabin has all the comforts of home, just nestled away on a private road in the WV mountains. Forest Haven is fun for couples, families, or groups of friends -- and is the perfect home base for your getaway!

The cabin includes:

- Outdoor hot tub perfect for relaxing

- Two bedrooms, both with queen beds

- A spacious deck for relaxing and grilling

- Large, light-filled living room with huge windows

- Kitchen with new appliances (including dishwasher)

- Smart TV in the living room, with Roku set up so you can easily sign-in to Netflix, Disney+, or any of your streaming services

- WiFi that___s fast enough to stream movies and hold video calls

- AC to keep you comfortable, even when it's warm

- Washer and dryer

- An outdoor yard game treasure box full of activities for kids and adults: cornhole, volleyball, soccer balls, horseshoes, and many more!

Note: we have an indoor fireplace, but unfortunately it___s currently broken and is only decorative.

We often take our two little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly.

Beyond the cabin itself, we___re a short drive away from three main destinations in West Virginia: Berkeley Springs (with great shops and restaurants), Harpers Ferry (for river rafting and Civil War history), and Winchester (the closest of the three, with tons of restaurants and breweries). And of course, there are many good hiking trails nearby too!

Gorgeous, cozy mountain home with unbelievable privacy and views but still close to the best "have to do its". Just had the best long weekend there with great friends. The house afforded us with all the sweet amenities nestled on top of a lovely hill. Charming, well-appointed, I never slept so good. Brought a tear to my eye to leave it. Go and find your peace there! 🙂

What a perfect weekend getaway. A warm, cozy space to relax. The hot tub was clean and stress relieving. We enjoyed the comfortable furniture and the gas log fireplace. We didn't watch a lot of TV but the satellite was handy to catch the basketball game! It was great to have a gas grill handy since the weather was very mild for late January. We will definitely be back in the future.

Loved our long weekend here. My wife and I go away every year for our anniversary. We have been to a lot of nice places but this is the first one we are planning to return to

Nice place. Very steep and bumpy driveway. Low profile cars would have a hard time getting here. Hot tub was sparkling clean. Had an issue with the code to get in but Doug returned the call and got us in within 15 minutes. Stairs for bedrooms are steep too. Great view from front deck. Enjoyed the fire ring. Nice living room area too. Low water pressure. Overall we were happy and would return. The area is beautiful. Doug was great to work with. Would be a perfect score but if you are older or have physical issues ( back problems) it may be hard to get bounced around in the driveway and the stairs for the bedrooms might be difficult for you. Thanks Doug.

Really an amazing place!! We came here for a mini March vacation and the house was perfect. The indoor area was so cozy with a really cool automatic fireplace, a well-designed kitchen, and comfortable beds and couches. There were portable heaters throughout the house but we ended up not even needing them because of how well the fireplace heating system worked (weather was 30s-70s while we were there).

The outdoor porch area is honestly perfect. It has the trifecta of a hot tub, a nice grill, and a gas fire table which made it such a fun place to spend time. The house faces the sunrise so we gently woke each morning to a beautiful sunrise over the mountains and tree tops. There is also a lot of easy hiking to drive to and a local ice cream place that's delicious.

When we first arrived there was a little snag with the internet but the host fixed it immediately and we were able to stream movies just fine (with a little extra buffer time than usual, but not a big deal).

I cannot recommend this place enough!!!
