Nice room & view out the sliding glass door. Comfortable and relaxing. The restaurant didn't look busy at all, in fact I think it was just the 2 of us. The waitress took our order and it never came. After waiting for an hour, we left and walked a bit to a sweet mom & pop cafe. Can't remember the name of it. The food there was great & great friendly service. Other than no real service from the motels restaurant, we had a great time. We'd go back again.
If from California don't stay here and the owner will kick u out of campground and doesn't follow the laws even when you pay he still serves you a 72 hr notice because of the so called maintenance guy that targets people he dont want there for no reason and the maintenance guy drives around drinking on a lawnmower and he's not friendly at all (Mike) and you have to buy wifi and cable because theirs don't really work.
This by far is the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel. Extremely hot room during summer. No a/c, no fans, ect. Open windows to a loud blaring tv from the trailer behind our room. Still hot. Floors are disgusting. My son's socks are nasty brown from walking around. Had to clean stuff off of the toilet when we got here. Wanted leave the same day as checking in but the rude desk lady refused to give any money back. Told they will have to clean room so they will have to charge me the full amount. Clean the room? Wasn't clean when we got here.
Don't understand the low reviews at all. Motel room was absolutely charming, had a nice little sofa, desk to work at, coffee maker with tea, microwave and fridge, fast enough wifi, plenty of shower supplies, and a dated looking but unbelievably comfortable bed. Also liked the nice space heater after a chilly 12 hour motorcycle ride.
Check in lady was very friendly, this was the best night sleep I've had in my two week road trip.
Only potential downsides are the shower cubicle was small, so if you're particularly "well fed" you might be cramped. Was fine for me though. That, and there is occasional road noise from the stupid trucks that roll down 101 all night, so earplugs should be on hand.
Other thought is that in late summer the temp was lovely and the heater was used, but if it's peak summer scorcher, be mindful the room lacked AC and a fan.
For $90 after tax, I couldn't be happier. Will absolutely earmark this place for a future visit!
