From US Hwy 101 just north of Reedsport, OR., turn east onto Smith River Road. Travel 26.4 miles to the site.
My wife and I stayed here instead of spending cash on a hotel or paid site. It was quite nice and had lots of availability mid week. If your looking for quite, cheap,and beautiful this is it. There is a bathroom but no plumbing or electrical.
Nice and clean and quiet but we were the only ones there for several days. Also these BLM camps are closed October to May.
Really clean campground even in the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay at the campground. The host Gil was helpful with letting us know the fire rules and then gave us space. There were a few other campers and it was very peaceful. Cool little creek a few steps away and a beautiful water fall a small jaunt down the road. We'll be back for sure.
