About Campground

This small campground offers 16 sites with a family atmosphere, mature forest shade, and easy access to the cool waters of Fall Creek. Three of the sites are walk-in.

Directions

12.8 miles northeast of Lowell, Oregon.

From Lowell, Oregon: Beginning at the Lowell Junior/Senior High School at 65 Pioneer Street, head north for 0.1 mile.  Turn left at the 2nd cross street onto North Shore Drive.  Drive for another 0.1 mile and turn right at the first cross street, which is South Moss Street.  In approximately 0.8 miles, South Moss Street becomes the Jasper-Lowell Road.  Continue for another 1.0 mile until the four-way stop.  Turn right onto Big Fall Creek Road.  Approaching the base of the Fall Creek Lake dam, bear to the left after passing Winberry Creek Road (on your right).  Note that Big Fall Creek Road becomes Forest Road 18 after crossing the National Forest boundary.  Travel for 10.7 miles from the four-way stop and the destination will be on your right.

Beautiful and mostly quiet. Although for a first come first serve Campground it's disappointing to see several sites reserved (and always those on the creekside) and the lovely on site bathrooms are closed, replaced with Porta potties that need serviced more often than they are.

Have loved this campground my whole life but will not return until new hosts are gone.

Be careful with these sites because if you leave to go explore you may have your paid site stolen from you. The son and his girfriend of host seemed like they were surely on drugs and it was very unsettling. Word for word we were told “If there was nothing else available and nobody in the site I’d move chairs and whatever else out of the way too” and aggressively shrugged his shoulders.

Making the campsite thieves move was too much of a hassle for them. They offered a free weekend with whatever sites we wanted lol.

We had 6 kids and were forced out of the sites we paid for. It was really terrible.

This place is wonderful. The camp host keeps it nice and clean. The sites are mostly small, with the exception of a few. The sites have some good privacy, although you can hear your neighbors when laughter erupts. It is mostly wooded.

We stayed in 15 which has great water access and is very large. It is a walk-in, although you don't have to walk very far. We had 6 people and it was large enough to accommodate us all.

The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the bathroom situation. With the campground full for labor day, the out-houses filled up quickly. It would have been nice if they were emptied once during the weekend.

Would stay there again. :)

The new Camp Hosts do a wonderful job keeping the place clean. Which is no easy task with all the people up that way who are trying their damndest to destroy the forrest.

Outhouses were spotless every day, each camp spot was clean, clean.

Creek was low and comfortable which is typical this time of year. The trail which runs up and down the creek is all but impassable. Lots of trees down, with several spots that washed completely out.
