Very lush vegetation, more if a natural area. Good wide boat ramp some nice trails by the river awesome view of the bridge and stays cool in the hot weather. Lots of parking however not to wheelchair friendly or anyone that have a harder time getting around, as the ground is fairly uneven. There is no picnic tables or anything of that sort, so it is more of just a walking, playing in the river and boat launch area (no dock).

John Armacher Park is a wonderful County Park near Winston, Oregon. It is located along the Umpqua River, there is overnight camping, a day use area, an unimproved boat ramp, and River access for fishing.

The park was built with Grant Funds from the Oregon Marine Board Development Fund.

Check it out, it's a great little gem

Beautiful park, right on the river. Lots of parking. Boat ramp. One real bathroom, multiple outhouses. Plenty of parking. If your a pokemon player, you can reach 3 gyms and several spinners. There is a full service camp ground.... no tenting.

When we are road tripping I always look

For a pleasant place to have a picnic lunch. John Amacher park fit that bill perfectly. Just off the highway, but still feels like a bit of nature with the N Umqua river right next to it. Just drive under the RR trestle and past the RV sites to the right to get to the day use area (no fee). Plenty of picnic benches with 4 of them under the shelter. The port a potty was clean and stocked but the is also a park restroom at the entrance.

Absolutely stunning park. Well kept with picnic tables, natural forested walk areas, wide open spaces and is much bigger than it appears from the highway. Very clean and well cared for. Will definitely stop in again. Some fairly gentle natural slopes down to the river. A bit slick if wet.
