One of the larger state parks and a gem. Beautiful long winding roads through glorious Florida nature. Trees as far as the eye can see.

Husband climbed the Hobe tower for great views from the highest point in S Florida and we drove to the large picnic and concession area and enjoyed an ice cream by the river.

Plenty of picnic tables and pavilions, children’s play area, kayak and bike rental and a small gift shop and food truck.

There is a boat tour that leaves from the dock, which we unfortunately did not have time to enjoy.

If you’re in to train spotting, the Brightline track also runs through here for great views!

There are also several campgrounds and cabins for rent.

A lovely escape from the s Florida traffic and only $6 for entry!
