In Island Park, 1/4 mi N of mi marker 394 on Hwy 20.
We loved this place!! Rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, and it had a lot of amenities.....a small gift shop in the office, pool, hot tub, game room, pickle ball court, etc. The breakfast was good, (It was the same each day) and the staff was very friendly! Great location...just 30ish minutes from Yellowstone National Park west entrance. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area!
It's a beautiful setting. We stayed 4 nights and had a great time. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed the hot tub. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. We will definitely stay here again. It was close to the Yellowstone west entrance which was convenient.
We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Yellowstone Park. It's a handy location to the West (most popular) entrance to the park, about a 30 minute drive, and way less expensive than places closer. Big, nicely appointed rooms, comfortable beds, lots of linens, huge TV. My only negative would be the soundproofing between adjoining rooms (we could see light under the door and hear clearly into the next room). Convenient to a grocery store an a couple of decent restaurants. Nice breakfast area and decent selection for breakfast. Friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend!
We have been using their cabins for years for family get togethers and they have been amazing! I love how it is divided into individual units, but they're interconnected so it doesn't feel like you're far away from family. It is definitely on the high end of pricing, so watch out for seasonal deals. You can usually manage to get 40% off. The units have a lot of amenities including a hot tub even if the hot tub is a bit rough and ready. The rooms are showing a bit of age, but I think it adds to the charm. I would rather have a family event here than the new hotel down the road because of how it manages to give you your own space, while also feeling connected. Overall we've had a lot of great experiences here and I would recommend it for people wanting to get together for a reunion.
My family loves staying at Sawtelle Mountain Resort. The rooms are spacious and clean. We love staying in the suites and cabins because they have hot tubs. The family suite is perfect for our family of six. There are a lot of options and plenty of seating at breakfast. My kids love the indoor pool, game room, and outdoor pickleball court. There are a lot of outdoor activities to do right outside with trails for hiking, RZR riding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, etc. We love eating at Connie's, which is a quick walk from the resort.
