About Campground

The Box Canyon Campground is situated on the canyon rim above the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. There are 16 single and 2 double units, each having tent and camper pads, fire rings, grills and picnic tables. Two of the single campsites are pull throughs. Campsites near the canyon rim are shaded by lodgepole pine and Douglas-fir. There are 2 vault toilets, water hydrants, and a bear-proof dumpster. The area is wheelchair accessible. This campground has several short trails that leave the Box Canyon Trail to access the Henry's Fork.

It was an amazing first time camping trip with our 17 month old boy. Memories were made, clean campground. We will be back.

Such a beautiful campground. Lots of trees and privacy. Communal bear boxes. There is potable water and two sets of vault toilets. Backs up to box canyon trail which goes to a waterfall. Camp host was very helpful. Definitely bring bug spray.

Great campground, hiked the trail and saw the milky way from the tent late in the night/early morning. Host is friendly and helpful. Road is dirt and bumpy but passable by car. Best part was the serene atmosphere. First come first serve works for me, as plans can always change.

Need to travel on a dirt road to get here. Once there it is a beautiful campground. Ruby is the most helpful and friendly host. Camp and facilities are clean and well kept. Leave your generators and speakers for the bigger campgrounds, and enjoy the quite sounds of nature. It’s a short hike down to the river for some exploration. Will be back again for sure
