We enjoyed a quick overnight as a family here. There was a decent amount of shade. Sites were first come first serve and we paid $10 for the night. They had a few pavilions for larger gatherings that you could reserve, some tent camping areas and a few RV parking spaces. No drinking water, or RV hook-ups on site, and although my kids enjoyed the playground it had no shade over the equipment so they could only enjoy it later in the evening or early in the morning. There was a boat drop to play on the river but we just stayed in camp. There were some mosquitoes, but they have a spray truck that manages the area so they weren't bad at all. Green grass area to play and even a small frisbee course. Camps were pretty well maintained, and non flush toilets weren't bad ether.

Very nice shorter course. Only got my disc stuck in trees on 3 different holes HAHAHA.

Nice scenery. And of course the park name. Good historical marker.

This calm and peaceful place has family and fun all wrapped into one. For a fair price you can stay a night or stay a week. The surrounding treeline provides ample shade for relaxation, and the camp spots are cleaned and well maintained.

This is a great spot to end a float trip as there's a great boat dock area. A nice spot to take a Dip and as the water goes most of the way around the area its a pleasure to swim all over.

There is a 9 hole disc golf course that's got a short enough play for a solid practice game. A horse shoe pit also provides more family game fun, and the kids park also allows a safe place for children to have fun.
