Nice KOA. Good staff with events on the weekends for the family. Wish it was on the lake. Campsites are well kept but there are a lots of hills and interesting grades throughout the KOA. 4 wheel drive recommended if bringing a trailer.
My worst nightmare happened here; i was treated like trash; long story short the manager was a RUDE DISRESPECTFUL UNPROFESSIONAL!! “They” put us in a wrong campsite and when we were all set up, Manager comes and DEMANDS we move. No apologize just said “IDK WHO PUT YOU HERE YOU NEED TO MOVE. We tried to go in to ask let us stay one day there, since we were all set up already fire was going. NOPE WE GOT YELLED AT TOLD “WE WILL REFUND YOU GO ELSE WHERE” (the site they wanted us to go was occupied by group of ppl) bottom line; theirs a way to talk to someone if YOU messed up! I told him i was going to give him a bad review he said “I DONT GIVE A DAM”! They followed parked and watch us to make sure we left!! We were going to leave, not sure what they thought maybe that we were going to take the bench? DONT COME HERE seems to me we were not his type of customers. Im hispanic my hubby is pacific islander! Husband and wife (i think) YELLING plenty of times @ us “YOU NEED TO LEAVE THIS IS OUR PROPERTY WE OWN IT” (THEY made the mistake we made reservation over phone with LIVE person (I have video)
Second time at his camp ground and the staff is always so friendly and accommodating. They put on an entire Halloween day and evening for the kids, crafts, hay ride, haunted house, and movies with treats. Sadly there were no other kids except mine, and they had a great time. Thank you for the effort, it was notices and appreciated. Well worth visiting and enjoying some of the local beauty and wines.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Santa Margarita KOA, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine sense of care from the staff.
Wolf and Lisa, the managers, deserve special recognition for their outstanding service. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist with a smile. It's evident that they take great pride in what they do, and their dedication to making guests feel welcome is truly exceptional.
The campground itself was pristine, with well-maintained amenities and beautiful surroundings. Our cabin was clean and spacious, and the facilities were top-notch.
I can't wait to return to the Santa Margarita KOA with my family and it's all thanks to the wonderful staff, especially Wolf and Lisa, who made my visit so enjoyable. I highly recommend this KOA to anyone looking for a memorable camping experience with exceptional service. Thank you, Santa Margarita KOA, for a fantastic stay!
My whole family (some have not experienced cabin camping )
Had a memorable time this past weekend. The cabins and everything were clean and spacious. We are already planning a spring family gathering here. Although it rained - it was refreshing! We will try and make this a twice a year FAMILY trip
