Very Nice view, we could see the whole sky. When we went it’s a full moon day and moon was good. This place was too hot and there were no trees . Till 8 clock in the night it’s hot. And there was a freeway nearby and we could hear loud noise throughout the night. But one good thing was it was near to sequoia national park, 15 to 20 miles. There was cell tower. Bathrooms and showers were clean . No mosquitoes but there were so many ants. One of my friends family brought a dog, ants bit him everywhere. Pls make sure bring a cot or something like that if you are bringing a dog .
We stayed here from 7/29 - 7/31 2022. Loved this campground and the host was terrific. Our site had a perfect view of the entire campground, river, and lake.
It was hot and humid, but that was fine, it was still a great time. The pictures shown are the view from our site. We are excited to go back for some winter camping now.
Just a cute and quiet place. Super close to home so it was even better for me. $20/night. They have restrooms with showers in them. Which was even more convenient! Currently a lot of it is flooded and blocked off but there are still a good amount of spaces to camp.
This campground is around the lake! Ppl can go fishing, swimming 😀.8 washrooms equipped shower 🚿 facility!
Ever campground has fire pit with grill on top which is perfect for BBQ 😉.
Lower level campground right adjacent to water may get flooded due to water level rise .. so avoid those spots.
Rest all it's perfect campground . Make reservation in advance. There is no first come first serve.
Also this is only 1 hour drive from sequoia national park entrance!
Enjoy
My husband and I have been to this campground so many times with and without the rest of our family and it's usually always awesome. A+ Campground. Very nice view and accessible lake. Horse creek is dog and family friendly.
The time before this last time we went, there was no one else camping here. So when we decided to try and move over one campsite for better shade from the sun, the young ranger who came to check on us said it would be fine as long as we were only staying one night.
We stayed one night this time as well, but when we arrived to our campsite we realized it had a pretty severe slant. Anyone who tent camps know that sucks. So we tried to switch again, but this time I call to make sure it would be okay. There were only two other people camping. And no other reserved signs posted.
The man I spoke with first was very nice and respectful. The lady he transferred me to wasn't as nice or respectful. It's only $20, but it's my hard earned money that I paid. I also understand that it is their policy to not allow switching campsites because "they would have to let everyone do it". When I voiced my concerns about my tent being on a slant she said in a very rude tone "I've seen millions of tents on that campsite" if it wasn't too late I would have asked for a refund.
Other than that our stay was as always wonderful.
