About Campground

Ah, this campground is a desert oasis at the end of a busy day. The patio is a delightful resting spot in the shade, where you can watch hummingbirds whiz by. This is your home base as, day by day, you visit the Santa Fe Plaza, San Miguel Mission, Palace of the Governors, Loretto Chapel or Canyon Road, where you'll find many galleries and artists to observe. Summer brings an abundance of festivals to enjoy. And don't forget the wonderful local cuisine! Many restaurants are small family-run establishments, and the recipes handed down through the ages keep getting better. Relax at the campground and plan your next day's activities. Will it be the Rio Grande Gorge or a day touring Native American ruins? Whatever you decide, it will enrich your life. Max pull thru: 65 feet. Your hosts: Larry and Phyllis Pasekoff.

Beware. It’s beautiful, loved our site, but very very expensive! They also charge $40 per nite for overflow parking!! We were never told this, and were in shock when they told us that. We tried to mention we have never been charged at a KOA for this before and I couldn’t even finish before the manager put his hand up to my face and said he didn’t believe me and not to bother to say that, he said he would just cancel our reservation! We had no cell service to even try to find another place. I asked if we couldn’t please figure out something, like $40 for both nights. He finally agreed and then adjusted it to 30. (Which was refunded due to some late night police activity involving drugs and drunks)

He did apologize, but after being on the road for over 6 hrs and to come in to a place where you’re already paying top dollar and be treated so poorly, it didn’t really mean much.

Then he said, no bad reviews, if you don’t like me just don’t review! 😠

My sister, mom and I had a wonderful 2day experience at this gorgeous KOA, beautiful location. The staff was fantastic!! very friendly, and helpful with anything we needed, they make you feel at home. Our cabin was gorgeous, the game room was fun!! Lots of places to sit and have some wine🍷talk, and relax, great playground for the children. Many things to do to keep you active ⛳️ Awesome place if you have dogs, cute dog area for them to play. Bathrooms are very clean, grounds are clean and kept up, beautiful scenery. A cute little shop with coffee, goodies, and fun souvenirs, awesome pizza! I give this place a 10! Close to Downtown Santa Fe, awesome shopping. Thank you Gerry, Clarissa and of course sweet pooch🐶kitty🐱 and all the other staff who made our stay FANTASTIC! Until we meet again 🍕🐢

I've traveled across the country and I always stay at KOA. This is a comparatively small location compared to most, but what they lack in spaces and amenities, they make up for in quality and friendliness! This was by far the cleanest, friendliest KOA I've stayed in. I was only there one night, and I stayed in a Cabin, as I always do.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by Marvin, the location cat, and the best concierge! I was early for check in, and the office was closed so I headed into Santa Fe (a short and easy 20 minute drive away). When I came back for check in I was greeted warmly, and given a rundown of where everything was, along with a kind offer to move to a cabin that was closer to the bathrooms. I declined, just because I really liked the decor in the cabin I selected (music themed, very cute!). The facilities are very clean and ready for use and the staff makes you feel like more than just a guest. They recommended places to eat, with follow up descriptions of their favorite things to eat there, I can definitely back their recommendations of Cafe Fina and Harry's Roadhouse!

I only stayed one night, but I will definitely return next time I'm looking to stay near Santa Fe!
