Very nice state park in lower NM. Gorgeous sunsets and beautiful view of the lake. Very clean and well kept. As far as those posting about hwy noise, remember this is not an isolated boondocking spot it is a state park and the hwy noise is barely noticeable. The camp host Ramon is very helpful and friendly
Great picnic areas for day use. Lots of space to walk around and play for the kids. The visitor center is not staffed so you have to pay via envelope in a drop box. Day use fee is $5.
It was quiet, and the big covered picnic tables were nice. However, the bathrooms had not been cleaned in our five night stay. And, getting to the lake for fishing was not an easy task, so we didn't bother.
