We spend a night on last weekend. The place was crowded and this usual these days. There were around 50 camps that day, it was awesome day. After 10pm no loud music is allowed. Ranger will come there if there is loud noise or music to stop it. I would suggest this place. In fact we searched other beaches but could found any better than this.
Yeah this place is perfect, if nobody's here and you get most of a full-blown beach to yourself. We were a lucky few who got to enjoy nature's splendor like this. Really a beautiful view of the lake and wonderful sun and weather. The water was freezing cold, but perfect. We spent two fun nights here under the fun trees, which reminded me of palm trees. However, thank God this ain't LA.
Nice family atmosphere. Clean campground. Headed back in a couple weeks. It's our go to :)
The camping was great I do recommend may be going later in August or September just because the Flies are pretty bad around July. But it was definitely worth camping along the tree line and then spending the day on the beach I would not recommend camping on the beach unless you were in an RV because the wind really picks up at night and it's easy for a lot of stuff to blow away even if it's heavily weighed down. And if you don't have an all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicle do not drive on the sand- they do have a service that is free for those of you that paid for a camping reservation but it's best to not have to use it!
