About Campground

Rolling Oaks Campground is located 7 miles south of Sandwich, Illinois right along the Fox River. The park has been family owned and operated since 1969! The season is open mid-April through mid-October weather dependent.

Rolling Oaks is a fantastic place to visit for the whole family. There is fun for children and adults and the property includes activities such as: playground, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and plenty of special events. During the summer there is music and dancing on Saturday evenings, farmers markets, cart rides. There are also special dinner events like spaghetti supper, corn boil, and pig roast.

The campground has outdoor swimming in their maintained lake. There is a propane exchange station, a dump station available, firewood for sale, and a snack bar with burgers, pizza, and other foods. Nearby Sandwich has shopping, dining, and laundromats available.

Had a great time, but this place needs help! The bathrooms are always clogged and without tp or soap. People will absolutely let their kids that are younger than 6, run rampant on the playground with no supervision. I can't tell you how many times unsupervised children pushed my children or walked up to me to find their parents.

Also an added bonus... we all have our political sides, but enough trump and confederate flags here please. Truly this campground doesn't feel very inclusive.

Many activities, from farmers market, bingo, dances, kid activities, outdoor movies. Owners are very nice and kind. There right on the fox river perfect for tubing. The store has hot food, soft serve ice cream and even funnel cake. Definitely a fun place and family orientated

We had a nice stay. The only issue was our electrical management system would not turn on due to voltage on the ground of the power pedestal. We reported this to the management. They assured us the problem would be corrected. It was not corrected when we left three days later.

They had advertised swimming activities but when we got there, no pool and the lake wasn't swim accessible. There was nothing to do! I've been to so many better spots I recommend not coming here. I'm sorry for the negative review, but when you spend the kinda money it costs to come to a place like this, it really is a crime. Also, bathrooms were gross.

This entire place is so run down. Picnic tables rotten falling apart Pavillions coming apart. Just ashame no one seems to care to fix things up. It's like a free for all. Seasonal campers who leave thier campers there build all kinds of extra roofs overhangs most look unfinished old. If someone had the money this place could be a GOLDMINE. Swimming hole is just that...no sand just surrounded by mud. Like I said it's location is awsome. But the place looks like it should be condemned.
