It's an alright spot if you don't mind remoteness, there are lots of atv trails and sites of wildlife. Absolute zero cell service until you get to the hill where the dump site and dumpsters are, also no sewer at sites which is fine unless you're there for awhile and also no wifi or laundry available and closest town for anything is over an hour away. Other than all that beautiful scenery.
This is the greatest Good Sam park I've been to and I've been to alot of them. Sites are reasonably spaced, most have picnic tables and firepits. The amazing part is coming here in the off season. I'm here at the end of October and it is just about empty. Beautiful areas in the campground, lots of trails and absolutely amazing with not many people here!
I went for a weekend for a family event in August and it was super remote. No service but we had so much fun just being able to actually enjoy the scenery and interact with family. It was nice to disconnect and just enjoy nature. The staff was amazing!
This is some people's idea of a perfect campout. Camping options in various campsites to suit individual preferences.
The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because I had zero cell service at my campsite. 😐 Were it not for that, an outstanding camping experience! The campgrounds are extensive and beautiful, especially by the river! The pool area is also very scenic. The restrooms and showers were very clean. The ladies in the office were very kind and helpful! Plus, I had a totally level campsite, something I rarely experience. Very remote and all of the roads are dirt, so if that's not your thing, just be aware. They do have a nice golf course and extensive ATV trails. Plus peace and quiet and lots of stars at night!
