I've been fishing swimming and hiking back in there since I was 5 yrs old. I can answer any questions.
Many great trails that follow the river along limestone banks.
Despite all that, the bird life is just fantastic and rated as one of the best birdwatching areas in the metro
Pretty decent if not small park (just a few trails). A few benches strewn about in random spots along the paths. Most of the main paths won't lead you to the Mississippi, but several side paths that others have created will. Surrounded by lots of private property (usually pretty well marked), so be careful where you explore.
This park entrance is tucked away in a neighborhood. The park is pretty small, but the trails are nice in the fall with the dog. There's not really river access, and the river it does open to is more like a tributary and the water didn't look so great.
