Bathrooms were disgusting, water didn’t work. Camp hosts, never saw them. Beautiful place to watch the sunset on the Snake. Except poorly maintained place.

I was so excited about this place. It's close to home , but in a country setting. I was very dis - pleased when I arrived. we had a swarm of wasp on the patio of our cabin. I called the host ,

( no answer ) He did text me back to let me know that there was wasp spray. He said they have a hard time keeping them under control. ( I think a simple wasp trap would work)

He never did come by our site or text me to see if we needed anything else or had any trouble getting the spray. I went to turn the water on in my cabin and nothing came out ! Finally figured out that there was a tank under the sink that was empty. I rented a cabin for just a couple luxury's ~ A bed was one of them. The bed had dirt all over it. (no biggie , I threw a blanket and a sheet on it) But, I pretty much had to clean the whole cabin before I could feel comfortable. I understand that some bugs are going to be in the cabin , but this was crazy ! ( I slept in my car) The common bathroom / shower looked like it had not been cleaned all season. My grandkids said they would rather use the port a pottie ! which was probably the cleanest thing on the grounds. this could be such a nice , relaxing spot if taken care of. Love that it's right on the river..., the views are beautiful. But, for the price I spent... I'm very disappointed ! They should update the website..

The location is so stunning! But that’s the only pro to this rv park (if you can call it that). There’s garbage everywhere, literally piled up in places like a dump. Major wasp problem (which is very problematic when you have kids with allergies). And the bathrooms smelled/looked like something died in them and definitely hadn’t been cleaned this year!! My kids gladly used the porta potty instead! There were random dogs roaming around and one of them came at mine-she’s a German shepherd and didn’t stand for someone invading her space! The host waved us in when we first got there but that was all. It’s literally a double wide trailer in the entrance, which is very well kept, as is their huge boat and beautiful patio. If only they spent as much energy into their park, people would likely come back here….

To the MANAGEMENT:

Minus the lack of assistance & the filthy bathrooms,

This place is beautiful.

No one was available to help us check in/park our new RV.

We are 1st timers.

Completely confused & no one to answer us was unprofessional.

There is a

"Ring doorbell/camera" outside on the bulletin board.

NO ONE was there to respond. We finally figured out where we park..

However

Three other travelers HAD MUCH worse experiences.

A couple who traveled from Germany had a very difficult time. I felt so bad.

IF the OWNERS can't be there, then leave a dang note with a phone number to reach u or someone else.

In today's age, we should be able to reach people.

The 3rd family had the WORSE time getting into their spot.

They rented number 13 spot (I believe it was that number), but there wasn't a # 13.

They were more than angry

I bet it was over an hour before they figured it out.

Half the campers walked all around trying to help them.

We were all confused.

Turns out:

Number 13 is actually # 12.

🤦🏼‍♀️

It was NOT obvious that 13 would be in that space.

All I could think was, "Give me some cardboard & a crayon...

Lol.

The bathrooms/ showers were gross. Standing water right when u enter the ladies' room, which makes it smell like rotten feet .

I'm grateful that we have our own bathroom in our RV, but many others did not.

😳

Also, I didn't recall seeing any trash cans throughout the land.

While walking around, I picked up several pieces of trash, cans, etc.

Just a friendly suggestion to add some trash cans.

The land WAS BEAUTIFUL!

Sunsets were spectacular.

...

We would love to come back.

Now that we know what to expect.

Rivers edge use to be a nice place to stay. We traveled 450 miles to stay there for 3 days. We stayed in the deluxe cabin. We had to clean it when we got there. There was food in the sink and on the hot plate. The coffee maker was dirty. The linens weren't clean, they were still waded up in the dirty clothes hamper. Good thing we brought our own linens. We tried calling a couple of times because there was no camp host available. We finally get a call back from the person answering calls and she hangs up on us. Very unprofessional. No where near worth the $460 we paid to stay there.
