Each campsite at Pyramid Ridge Campground has in-site parking, a large picnic table, fire ring with optional grate for grilling, and at least one tent pad. Select sites contain parking spots to hold a large RV/camper or multiple vehicles and have multiple tent pads. While there is no water available at the campground, visitors can access water and other amenities in town just a few minutes away. The campground also serves as a trailhead which gives campers the opportunity to access almost 30 miles of trail from their campsite. The trailhead contains a bicycle repair station as well as the campground's restroom.
-The campground is bounded on the south and west sides by private land. Please do not trespass onto private land
This was a perfect campground for us on October 29, 2022. We're touring through southern Utah and wanted to visit the northern section of Zion during a less busy season. Campground has easy access out of Cedar City with a good gravel road. We stayed in #1 which was level, but as I walked around the CG, I thought the sites all looked quite good for our needs. Our RV is 24' with one slide out and we tow a small truck. CG was neat and tidy w/very few campers, and about 25% full. NOTE: This is not a first come, first serve. You must reserve in advance through recreation.gov. I saw this on reviews and reserved my site 4 hours before arrival, using my cell phone. I have XFinity Mobile and had full cell and internet access.
Bare bones but that's what I needed. The restroom is cleaned and maintained. No water but that's ok. What do you want for $5/night! I'd stay here again if it worked into my itinerary.
It would be a great place to camp but there is a neighbors dog that roams free in the area and bothers all the campers and comes up to all dogs and it's very annoying and the owner thinks it's funny . I want a refund because my dog had to stay in the car because he's not friendly with all dogs off leash. Owner needs to be responsible and pay refunds for his dog running free . Every day not just once and offen multiple times a day ... Big white ranch dog .... Government needs to find him this is the dog ...
We only had the chance to stay one night while passing through, and it was a pretty solid campsite for our purposes. Easy to access, sites were decently spread out and clean, and it was relatively quiet. Not much wind protection. (Site 11)
Very nice small campground with only 11 sites and one group site. This is not big rig friendly. Our 29 foot fifth wheel was a bit of a challenge getting into spot 4. The spots are plenty big but the road curves and isn’t very wide and lined with big rocks. Our spot was right next to the bike trail that goes out into the trail system but it was never a bother. Trailhead had bike tools and a pump and was very neat. Garbage area was extremely neat also. Quiet. Small. At the foot of recreation. Absolutely love this place.
