What a fantastic area. So much to see and do. Can’t wait to come back in the spring when we can check out the lake and the campgrounds will be open. We’ll be back soon!
The visitor center for the Glen Canyon Dam is worth checking out. They have really good information about the dam, and nice views of the canyon....go to the visitor center instead of walking the bridge.
Beautiful campgrounds! This is where the Lone Rock sits right across the river. White colored cliffs and mountains surround this place. Amazing sunset and sunrise! The mountains and sky reflect on the lake's blue water! Photo perfect! There's off-road activities. Watercrafts are allowed but inspection before entering. Lots of fire pits made by prior campers. White sand, fine as sugar and all kinds of river rocks along the beach areas. Kids can swim or play on the sand. I wish I could stay here.
Wonderful place for some clean, family fun! With miles and miles of shoreline, This is a great place to explore, fish, and just enjoy being outside. Our family spends a lot of time here and have enjoyed every minute of it!
Glen Canyon is beautiful, and sometimes ignored, because everyone goes to the Grand Canyon...it is a great recreation site with boat tours and you see the majestic beginning of the Grand Canyon.
