Visited in the winter, so I had the campground to myself. There are plenty of sites, but they are located fairly close together. You can hear/see the river from some sites.
Firepits and picnic tables at every site. Water pump and vault toilets available.
What a great deal! If you are trying to get last minute camping near sleeping bear dunes this is the place. The bathrooms are vaulted but clean. No showers. But the best thing is all the sites are spread out. Definalty some of the best rustic camping I have experienced. Stayed at site 13.
This place is a Gem ! Very spacious sites, plenty of shade, decent river access to cool & refresh. Hand pumps & pits. Town of Honor 5 minutes away for supplies. Can't wait to come back !
