I Really like walking my pup in the Grass in the front entrance. They have alot of nice green grass for dogs. I haven't done the hiking yet. But if you just want to bring your dog for a quick walk this is a Great place.
Historical and beautiful.. trail to the cabin is easy. Just pick up your feet! And don't try taking any nature mementos. And really do your dog on a leash. I was a rebel that day. My apologies Ranger. They are all so nice and have a few events during the year. Wanna take my grands to the reenactment!
Pickett’s Mill is a beautiful state park. I love the views and the paths are easy to moderate. The staff are very sweet and professional.
