This recreation area is part of Allatoona Lake
From I-75 South: Exit I-75 at Exit 283. Turn left onto Old Allatoona Rd (turns into Santown Rd.) Continue on Sandtown Rd. for approx. 3.5 miles. The park will be located on the left side of road. From I-75 North: Exit I-75 at Exit 283. Turn right onto Old Allatoona Rd (turns into Santown Rd.) Continue on Sandtown Rd. for approx. 3.5 miles. The park will be located on the left side of road.
We were attending a birthday party at one of the building where you can have a party in air-conditioned inside and outside under a porch that over look the water. Very nice. I recommend the building. Very clean and bathrooms are clean. Believe me you will enjoy it. Oh if you like fishing this is for you. And sun bathe is good.
Great Military only recreation spot. Nice cabins, boat ramp and boat slips. There are cabins and primitive cabins even RV and a recreation indoor and outdoor pavilion.
It's a fantastic place to visit
