There are many dispersed camping opportunities on the forest. Most of them are not currently on this web site. For the best information on dispersed camping opportunities, please contact the ranger district offices.
Beautiful place! We are avid hikers and description of hike on All Trails said well marked and mild hike. Neither were true! Lots of shale and loose rock and trail is not well marked as you get higher on the mountain. We did run into a big brown bear on the way back down so be mindful of your surroundings!
Enjoyed the hike. I would say difficult. Not a easy hike. But really liked it. Great views
