We love to swim here. There's a hiking trail, boat launch, camping and RV spots. We live close so we've never camped here, but there are bathrooms that are relatively clean, and it looks kept up well. We primarily use the day use for swimming. There isn't a dedicated swim area and the current can be pretty strong, so use caution.

Gorgeous free campground, there's a boat ramp and the lake was magical in the morning. The clouds meet the lake and was very beautiful. Great for paddle boarding too.

We were there in Sept 2021. It was not crowded, the site was beautiful, trains were occasional and did not disrupt our visit. Stayed in our 21 foot travel trailer (for reference). You can easily walk down and fish the Clark Fork River. Rode bikes on the trail to town. Not too strenuous but the sites along the River were amazing! I guess I’m deducting one star for those of you that may mind the train…

I love coming here... I live roughly 2 hours away but it is always worth the drive. Busy on summer days but worth it if you can find parking.

Finally got to camp here...happen to be during a very fire prone time of the year. The local town of Paradise has burned down to over 17000 acres and because PROPANE is acceptable, our 'friends' from WASHINGTON two campsites down, get to have a 'propane' fire. What a joke!!!!
