Absolutely GORGEOUS location! Fire pits, tables and flat places for tents. We had a straight shot trail to the river at our campsite. Seriously high up on our most favorite campsites! Well be back
I loved fishing here as a kid. There used to be ample fish populations and the Hole in the Wall used to offer some good food.
Sadly, returning now I find it ridiculously busy with nearly every fishing hole jammed up with 3-4 out of state plates. The hole in the wall Is also no more.
Still a pretty creek and nice campground- if you can find a spot.
A free campground not far from 90. It was quiet, well maintained and close to river with a bathroom.
Peaceful and well off the interstate. We were the only ones there and enjoyed walking along the river. It was the last night of a road-trip and we wanted to stay somewhere other than a KOA or rv park close to the road. Make sure to check out the Big Pine the spot is named after. This was the perfect last stop on our trip.
This place gave the very first camping experience to my two preschoolers! The calmest campground close to the interstate. It hides behind a hill, so the traffic noise doesn't reach here. We still had coverage, so calling and internet surfing was also still possible to plan our next day.
We arrived late, but there was still a place for us to set up our tent. The area was wonderfully green, peaceful and well maintained. Since the campground is right next to the creek, there are flocks of hungry mosquitoes to reckon with (nothing that a good repellent can't handle).
Oh, and the Big Pine is very impressive! I hope it sticks around for many more years to come.
I'll think of this place fondly.
