This place gave the very first camping experience to my two preschoolers! The calmest campground close to the interstate. It hides behind a hill, so the traffic noise doesn't reach here. We still had coverage, so calling and internet surfing was also still possible to plan our next day.

We arrived late, but there was still a place for us to set up our tent. The area was wonderfully green, peaceful and well maintained. Since the campground is right next to the creek, there are flocks of hungry mosquitoes to reckon with (nothing that a good repellent can't handle).

Oh, and the Big Pine is very impressive! I hope it sticks around for many more years to come.

I'll think of this place fondly.
