A well maintained and free campsite while travelling is few and far between.

Besides the continuous trains running on the tracks across the river this campsite was amazing.

Free camping along the Clark Fork River with such potential. Too much litter on the ground, beer cans and D batteries in the fire pit, abandoned old grills and chemical toilets in the bushes.

Muchwater could be a 5 star if users kept it clean and if BLM staff removed litter and trash.

Some sites have a picnic table, most do not.

Road noise is minimal for sites closest to the river. Trains run directly on the other side of the river.

Two pit toilets. No potable water.. Dog friendly. Far better than Cascade Creek just down the road which is right on the road.

Good in a pinch.

This was an absolutely beautiful place, and I enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the peace and watching the river flow by. Sites are well spaced out. Vault toilets. I hope to go again.

Enjoyed the peace, quiet and beautiful scenery of this campground. Heard the trains during the day, but never noticed then at night. We will be back!
