This Lake Metroparks has it all. The trails are great (have been going for years). Lots of different options. The birds of prey portion outside is cool. The (non nocturnal) birds were all out in front of their cages taking in the sun. If you're reading this for some reason thinking about if you should go or not, go.
Great place to take a hike and see the gorge. Many tress are tagged and one tree is marked with names.
Walked the trails, then went down by the creek! Just beautiful! Kids loved walking the creek. They found salamanders and frogs. And we always love to see the animals at the Sanctuary too- our favorite is the bald eagle!
We went here to see candyland gone to the birds it was wonderful! You have to go here and see it for yourself 😀. We definitely want to come back during the summer and fall.
Very beautiful area with a really cool setup for kids to run, explore, and play. We went during their Candyland event and the inside was awesome. Overall we loved our experience here and will definitely plan another visit soon.
