Very beautiful, it has been years since hiking here, and I was not disappointed. Hiked almost 5 miles and I know there is many more miles available to hike.
Found a small fawn immediately off the trail, a turtle and quite a few
Spittle bugs. The foamy substance that is on the wild flowers contains a Spittle bug.
Great place to hang out on a hot day! Plenty of room for a lot of people. We went over Labor Day weekend and it did not feel crowded. The bathrooms are a small hike from the beach but are clean!
The ground was hard when we were there so if you need to stake something down bring metal stakes and something to pound them in with.
There was a family that left most of their garbage and didn’t clean up after their kids. Please clean up after yourself! There’s plenty of garbage cans and dumpsters!
This beach was the cleanest of all the state parks I've ever been to. The size of the beach was amazing, along with the sand clean and free from debris and goose poop. The water was really clean also. They have a huge bathroom with a place to rinse off the sand. Underneath the restrooms looks to be a concession stand it wasn't open when I was there probably because it was on a Monday. You definitely have to check this place out.
